Surely e-bikes and e-scooters have much lower carbon footprint than electric cars. Also, they are much more affordable than an electric car (even a used one). I don’t understand why this isn’t pushed more as a way to decarbonisation. Personal e-scooters are effectively banned in the UK.

@rythie ...Although, novelty aside, I don't get the use-case for an e-scooter over an e-bike for most people.

@mavit In principle it would be easier to carry on the train/bus, though typically that’s banned. As they can be foldable, perhaps easier to take inside to charge at your destination. E-scooters seem to be cheaper.
