I like public transport. I don’t even own a car. But it’s hard to defend it when I don’t think I’ve been on a trip involving a train journey that wasn’t delayed, for honestly years.
@mavit it has occurred to me that there are only two things that all these late journeys have in common: (a) the rail industry (b) me. I did initially assume that they were bad at running trains for everybody, but I suppose I should consider the idea that everyone who does rail is victimising me specifically...
@sil @mavit I don't get out much but I believe in public transport, much as some people believe in ghosts. 2 of my last 3 planned train journeys were "cancelled due to the heat", though busses ran and the other one couldn't happen because the trains ended before I thought the event I wished to attend would. , I got a ticket for travelling in a bus lane on the right-hand side of Digbeth High St. and it took me an hour to escape at 11:30.
