@jriou given that your just waiting on the response of network traffic, an async IO approach would likely be better than sub processes. Depending on library support, etc.
Vector search is actually terrible at keywords.
Try searching for a specific SKU using only embeddings. Good luck.
Everyone is obsessed with semantic search, but sometimes you need exact matches. This is where Postgres dominates specialized vector stores.
Strategy: Hybrid Search (Keyword + Semantic).
Tool: Postgres tsvector (Full Text Search) + pgvector
Result: RAG accuracy improves by ~40% when you combine methods.
